Leaside Regeneration commissioned photographs of community projects in Tower Hamlets that have recieved European Union funding to help improve facilities and create opportunities for the local people. The brief required portraits and documentation of work carried out by the organisations. Nine venues were photographed in four days. This is part of the regeneration process linked to the development of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Urban Space Management commissioned a series of photographs documenting arts installations called 'Virtual Bridges' on the River Lea, London, a creative arts regeneration area in the build up to the 2012 Olympics. The photographs are to be used for PR, marketing and display purposes.

The Sonic Bridge designed by Millimetre in conjunction with musician Jem Finer.

I supplied images from Gaza to form a backdrop to the following exhibition at Brunei Gallery, London. Jackie Baines designed the exhibition: she is the graphic designer for SS Great Britain - Winner of the Gulbenkian prize 2006

This unique exhibition celebrates the diversity of ancient Palestine. It also illustrates the deep, rich heritage of a region repeatedly portrayed in today’s media as a place of conflict and suffering. The exhibition highlights the extraordinary finds made by the archaeologist Sir Flinders Petrie, who was Professor of Egyptology at UCL and spent many years working in the area around modern Gaza in the 1920s and 1930s.

The morning after the military incursion things were a little tense.

Contact sheet number 29, frames 17 and 18. I was in Jabalya refugee camp on the outskirts of Gaza City. Mohammed was very nervous and apprehensive about taking me there. There had been an IDF incursion in the night. They smashed the place up. Palestine TV station's presenter was making a broadcast.

Looking for individual prints is one task. Other narratives arise on conmtact sheets between muliple images. Between sequences of shots above and below, sometimes unrelated scenes.

Mohammed and I went to the end of the street (behind the tv presenter) That's where it got scary. Turning left at the junction we got caught in a traffic jam. Then people started shouting that the Israeli tanks were coming, the crowd turned and started running towards us... instant chaos. I ran, legs turning to jelly...
